Patience is key! The big ones often take a bit longer to bite, and they're pickier. Make sure you're ready to press 'A' right when they bite, but not a moment sooner. They're tricky and can easily get away if you're not careful. Fishing at different times and seasons can also increase your chances for certain large fish that only appear periodically.

To catch bigger fish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you'll want to cast your line into the shadows of larger fish in the ocean, rivers, and lakes. Pay attention to the size and shape of the shadows! Bigger shadows often mean bigger fish. Also, fish bait, which you can make from manila clams, attracts fish to your location, potentially increasing your chances of catching something bigger.

Just luck tbh. I've tried everything and sometimes you get the big ones, sometimes you don't. Keep trying!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
