Pro tip: Turn your volume up! Cicadas make a very distinct noise when they're nearby, making it easier to find them among the trees. Listening carefully can lead you right to them, then use the slow approach and catch. Works like a charm for me!

Catching cicadas in Animal Crossing is pretty straightforward but needs some patience. First, you gotta make sure it's cicada season in your game, which is usually in the summer months for both Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Then, equip your net and sneak up on those buzzing beauties by holding the A button to approach slowly. Once you're close enough, let go of the button to swing your net. Timing is key! Happy hunting!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
