Trust me on this one, spent hours hunting those flamey bugs with a basic net. Big mistake. You absolutely need the Lavaproof Bug Net - saves time and a lot of frustration. Once you've got it, catching them is a breeze. Plus, it's kinda fun swooping up those blazing critters with the right gear!

Hot take: Just buy the Lavaproof Fishing Rod and skip chasing critters. Fishing in lava gets you all the cool stuff without running around like mad.

Catching lava critters in Terraria is all about using the right tool for the job. You'll need a Lavaproof Bug Net or better. The regular Bug Net won't work because it'll just burn up. You can buy the Lavaproof Bug Net from the Merchant for 25 gold, but only after you've defeated the Wall of Flesh and have entered Hardmode. Then, just swing it at those fiery critters in the lava!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!
