Just throw Pal Balls at it till it sticks. Worked for me on the second try. ?
Honestly, just make sure your party's strong enough not to get wiped and bring lots of Pal Balls. Mamorests aren't the easiest to catch, but they're not the hardest either. Patience is your real test here.
Is it just me or are Mamorests overrated? Just get any Pal, train it well, and you're golden.
