Catching a whale shark in Animal Crossing isn't too hard once you know what you're looking for! First, make sure it's between June and September because that's when these beauties appear. Then, head to the ocean and look for a large shadow with a fin sticking out of the water. When you see one, cast your line, wait for the shadow to bite, and reel it in but be ready for a bit more of a struggle than your average fish.

Just a heads-up, you'll only find whale sharks from June to September, so no luck in the winter! They have huge shadows with fins. Patience is key!

Honestly, I've spent hours and still no whale shark. Think it's all about luck and being at the right place at the right time. Keep trying!

Pro tip: Use bait! It doesn't increase your chances of catching a whale shark specifically, but it does get you more attempts faster. Plus, make sure your inventory has space. Nothing worse than finally finding one and having no room.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
