First, back up your data. Turn off and unplug your PS4. Remove the hard drive cover, unscrew the old drive, and swap in the new one. Install the PS4 software via USB and restore your data.

I've done this! Just backup data, turn off the PS4, open the cover, replace the old drive with a new one, and reinstall the OS from a USB stick.

Why change it? Just get an external SSD, it's way easier!
