To change a battery in Subnautica, open your PDA, select the tool needing a new battery, and then click the 'R' key on your keyboard. This will bring up the battery selection menu where you can choose a new one!
From my experience, you'll need to make sure you have a charged battery in your inventory first. Then, equip the tool you need to recharge, press 'R', and select the battery you want to use. It鈥檚 as simple as that!
Just press 'R' when holding the tool and swap to a charged battery. Done.
