Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't just change hair color outside of matches in Splatoon 2. It's a team-color thing!
Once in a battle, your hair color changes based on your ink color. It happens automagically; no need for a salon visit!
No manual hair dye needed in Splatoon 2! Join a match, and your hair color will magically change to your team's ink color.
When I jump into matches, my hair color always matches my ink color. No need to go hunting for extra options!
