Changing your companion's appearance in Fallout 4 isn't as straightforward as clicking a button, but you aren't out of options either! The simplest way is to trade with your companion. Just talk to them, choose the 'Trade' option, and give them the armor or gear you want them to wear. Don't forget to equip it on them (by selecting the item in their inventory and choosing the option to equip). For more drastic changes, like hairstyles or facial features, you'll need mods. The 'LooksMenu' mod is super popular for this, allowing you to customize pretty much everything about your companion's appearance. Remember, mods are mostly for the PC, but some are available for consoles too!
