Just start a new world if you want a different difficulty. Simple as that.

Actually, you can kinda 'change' the difficulty by enabling Hardmode, but that's not changing it in the traditional sense. Hardmode kicks in after you defeat the Wall of Flesh boss, making the game significantly harder, adding new enemies and items. It's a one-way ticket though, so make sure you're ready!

Changing difficulty in Terraria isn't like flipping a switch in the settings; it's more about the world and character creation. When you create a world, you can choose its difficulty: normal, expert, or master. For an even tougher challenge, there's also a hardcore mode, but that's tied to your character. In hardcore, if your character dies, they're gone for good. The catch is, once you've set the world and character, you can't change their difficulty settings. You're in for the ride, so choose wisely!

Honestly, if you're looking for an easy mode, Terraria might not be your jam. The whole point is the challenge!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
