How to change Facebook group from private to public
You can't change a private group to public once it has members. The only way is to create a new public group.

Go to your group's main page, click 'More' under the cover photo, then 'Edit Group Settings'. Change 'Privacy' to 'Public', easy peasy!
Head over to your group settings, scroll down to privacy, and hit 'Edit'. Just switch it from private to public and you're done!
Nope, once private, always private. You gotta make a new one if you want it public.
