Just open your friends list, select the friend, and you can either hide or delete them. Easy peasy!
Click on the friends icon at the bottom of the screen, select the friend you want to change, and hit the 'Remove' or 'Block' button.
Are you sure you need to change their status? Sometimes it's just better to keep all your farm buddies around!
