Did it once, super easy. Changed my Xbox Gamertag and it updated in GTA Online instantly. Just make sure you're happy with the name, as some platforms might charge you for changes!

Just change your platform account name lol. It's not rocket science.

Changing your GTA Online name is actually tied to your platform's account name. So if you're playing on PlayStation, you'd change your PSN name. On Xbox, you change your Xbox Live Gamertag. And for PC players on Steam, just change your Steam profile name. Easy peasy!
