Just use weapons with the option. Not all guns can switch between automatic and semi-automatic firing modes.

Hey there! To change firing modes, you'll need to use a weapon that has alternative fire mode options. For example, the Tiberon Prime can switch between auto, burst, and semi-auto by pressing the secondary fire button (default middle mouse button). Happy shooting!

Not all weapons in Warframe have the ability to switch between auto and semi-auto. Make sure you're using a weapon like the Tiberon Prime and press alt-fire, usually bound to the middle mouse button or thumb button on a mouse.

Most weapons can't switch fire modes, but some special ones can. Check the weapon's description in the Arsenal for these features.
