For weapons with alternate fire modes, just tap 'B' (Xbox), 'Circle' (PlayStation), or 'C' (PC). Boom, new mode!

Literally, just hit the 'Change Fire Mode' button. On PC it's 'C', on consoles it's usually 'Circle' or 'B'. Easy peasy.
