How to Change Instagram Search Suggestions
First, make sure you're logged into Instagram. Then, go to the search bar and tap on it. You'll see your recent searches and suggested searches. To clear them, tap 'See All' next to 'Recent' and then 'Clear All.'

Clear your search history! Just go to your profile, tap the three lines in the top right, go to 'Settings,' then 'Security,' and finally 'Clear Search History.' Boom, all gone!
Just clear your search history in settings, no biggie.
My personal trick: I started following a bunch of new accounts, engaged with different content, and noticed my suggestions started to change pretty quickly.
