Changing your island layout in Animal Crossing involves two main tools: the Island Designer app and terraforming permissions. First off, you'll need to unlock the Island Designer app, which Tom Nook gives you after K.K. Slider performs on your island. From there, you can use Nook Miles to buy permits for terraforming – basically, changing rivers, cliffs, and paths. Plan carefully, because moving buildings and homes costs bells!

Biggest tip: Patience is key! You won't unlock terraforming until later in the game, and even then, major changes take time and effort. Dream big, but start small and enjoy the journey of making your island your own bit by bit.

You can't drastically change the island's initial layout but you can shape it over time. Unlock terraforming by getting K.K. Slider to visit your island, then use it to tweak water, elevation, and paths. It's a slow process, but with enough creativity, you can make your island truly unique!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
