Open up specific ports on your router: 1935, 3478-3480 (TCP). These are the ports PlayStation Network uses, and it should help change your NAT type to Type 2 or 1.

To change your NAT type on the PS5, go to Settings > Network > Connection Status > View Connection Status, and note your NAT type. For a more direct approach, set a static IP for your PS5 and enable UPnP in your router settings.

I had the same issue! Going to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection > Custom, then manually setting my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS) worked like a charm for me.

Honestly, just restarting your router can sometimes change your NAT type. Give it a try before diving into the complicated stuff!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
