To change your NAT type on Xbox Live, go to Settings > Network > Network settings. Then, select Test NAT type, and if it shows as 'Strict' or 'Moderate', you might need to restart your router or enable UPnP through your router's settings.

The easiest way? Restart your router and Xbox. It often switches you to Open NAT without any complex steps. No tech wizardry needed.

Enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) on your router settings. This usually helps to get an Open NAT type for Xbox Live. Simple but effective!

If your NAT type is still stubbornly strict, consider using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi. It can make a difference.

I had a Strict NAT type and fixed it by opening ports on my router. Look up your router model and search for port forwarding instructions. You'll need to open ports: 88 (UDP), 3074 (UDP & TCP), 53 (UDP & TCP), 80 (TCP), and 500, 3544, 4500 (all UDP).

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
