I've done this myself. Get a Rename Card from the 'Shop' or through rewards. Use it from your inventory, and voila, new name!

To change your nickname in PUBG Mobile, you need a Rename Card. You can find it in the 'Shop' under the 'Treasures' tab or obtain it through events and Royale Pass rewards.
