How to Change Players on GTA 5
Switching characters in GTA 5 is super easy and kinda fun once you get the hang of it. On consoles, just hold down the down arrow on your D-pad, and you'll see the character wheel pop up on the left side of your screen. Then, use the right stick to choose between Michael (left), Franklin (top), or Trevor (right). If you're on PC, hold down the 'Alt' key to bring up the character wheel, and use the arrow keys to select who you wanna be. The game will do a cool aerial zoom out and then zoom into the location of the chosen character. Just remember, you can't switch characters when you're in the middle of a mission or if the character you're trying to switch to is busy.

I always switch characters when I play because it feels like I'm getting three games in one. Plus, each character has their own special ability which is super useful. Franklin's slow-mo driving has saved me in so many missions. Just remember the character swap can't happen during missions, and sometimes you're forced to play a specific character to progress the story.
