Quick tip: You can't change the playlist picture on mobile, only on desktop!
From personal experience, doing this on desktop is a breeze. Just open your playlist, click the three little dots, select "Edit Details," and then click on the image. Upload your favorite pic and hit save!
On desktop: Open your playlist, click on the three dots, select "Edit Details," and click on the picture to change it. On mobile: Unfortunately, you can't change it directly from the app. Use the desktop version!
