Alright adventurer, here's a shortcut for ya: Turn off your PS3 completely, then hold the power button until you hear a second beep (about 10 seconds). This will reset the video settings to default, and you should see the display on your screen!

Easy fix! Turn off the PS3, then press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps. It resets the video settings to default. Boom, resolution issue solved!
