Go to the 'Photos' section on your PS3, select the image you want as your wallpaper, press the 'Triangle' button, and choose 'Set as Wallpaper'. Bam, new wallpaper!

Honestly, just get a PS4 or PS5. Changing wallpapers is way more advanced. But if you're stuck with the PS3, follow the XMB Settings route.

From the XMB menu, head to 'Settings' > 'Theme Settings' > 'Background'. Select 'Image' and choose one from your hard drive or USB stick. Easy peasy!
