Alright, if you got y = mx + b, you just shuffle things around. Subtract mx from both sides to get -mx + y = b, then rearrange if necessary to get rid of negatives: Ax + By = C.

Easy peasy! First, start with your slope-intercept form, y = mx + b. Then, just move mx to the left side of the equation by subtracting mx from both sides to get -mx + y = b. Finally, multiply through by -1 (if needed) to make the x coefficient positive. Voil脿! You鈥檙e in standard form: Ax + By = C.

First hand experience here: I had to convert y = 3x + 4 in my algebra homework. Moved 3x to the left: -3x + y = 4. Multiplied through by -1, and ended up with 3x - y = -4. Homework done!

Just move the x term to the other side, adjust coefficients if needed, and boom鈥攕tandard form.
