Changing your character's name in Terraria isn't as straightforward as clicking an option in the game itself, sadly. You've gotta dive into the game files a bit. First, make sure your game isn't running. Then, head to your Terraria's 'Players' folder, which is usually found in Documents\My Games\Terraria. Your character's file will be here, named something like 'CharacterName.plr'. You'll need to use a third-party program to edit this file, like Terraria's Inventory Editor (TEdit). Open your character file in TEdit, and you should see the option to change your character's name. Remember to save and back up your original file before fiddling around!

Honestly, creating a new character might be quicker if you're not tech-savvy. Messing with game files can lead to heartache if you're not careful!

Just use TEdit to change it, easy peasy. Search for TEdit Terraria on Google, download it, and follow the instructions.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
