To change the background color of an Instagram Story, take or upload a photo, then tap the doodle icon (looks like a squiggly line) at the top-right. Select the color you want and hold your finger on the screen for a second or two. Voilà, new background color!
Just doodle over everything with a fat brush and call it abstract art. Works every time!
