You can't change the download location directly through the Valorant installer. What you need to do is start the install and when it asks you where you want to install, that's your chance to pick a different drive or folder. So, basically, pick your spot when the setup asks, not before.
Actually, it's simpler than it sounds. Just start installing Valorant and look out for the part where it lets you choose the installation path. Change it there to wherever you want. No fuss.
I did this last month cause my C drive was full. Just run the installer, and when it asks where you wanna install Valorant, pick a new location. Worked like a charm for me. You can totally choose a different download location; just do it during the installation process.
