How to Change the Hard Drive in a PS4
ImplementingPons路7 months agoFirst, back up your data using an external storage device or the cloud. Then, power off your PS4 and unplug all cables. Slide off the hard drive bay cover on the left side (when looking at the front of the PS4). Unscrew the single hard drive screw with the PlayStation symbols on it and pull the hard drive caddy out. Swap the old drive with a new one, reinsert the caddy, and secure it. Finally, restore your backed-up data.

In my experience, it's pretty straightforward! Just make sure you have a Philips-head screwdriver and a compatible 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD. Follow the steps in the PS4 manual or an online guide, and you'll be good to go!
Honestly, it's just a few screws and some data backup. Don't overthink it.
Backup your data, unscrew the hard drive bay, swap the hard drive, and restore your data. Easy peasy!
