Ah, the age-old question every Animal Crossing player eventually asks! Unfortunately, you can't change the island representative in Animal Crossing: New Horizons without starting your island from scratch. The island rep is the first player who started the game, so unless you're ready for a complete do-over, you're stuck with your original choice. It's one of those 'choose wisely' moments we all didn't pay enough attention to.

Nope, you can't change it. You gotta reset your game if you wanna switch who's in charge. Tough cookies, but that's how it goes.

Actually, I tried everything to switch my island rep because my brother chose a ridiculous name at the start. Long story short, I learned the hard way that it's impossible without deleting our island and all the progress. So yeah, make sure the person you pick first is someone you trust!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
