Sorry to break it to ya, but once you've named your Animal Crossing island, it's set in stone... or in this case, set in digital code. The game doesn't allow you to change the island name after you've decided on it during the initial setup. So, choose wisely and make sure you're really into the name you pick out!

Actually, if you're really desperate for a name change, your only option is to start your island adventure all over again. Delete your save data and begin anew. It's a drastic measure, but if you must have that perfect name, it's the only way.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
