Switching hemispheres in Animal Crossing isn't as straightforward as a menu option. You actually can't change the hemisphere once you've selected it at the beginning of your game. If you're really committed to making the switch, you'd have to start your game over. When you're setting up your island for the first time, Tom Nook will ask if you live in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. Choose wisely!

Nope, can't do it after you've started your game. It's a one-time choice, so make sure you pick the right hemisphere when you first set up your island!

Had to learn this the hard way - you can't switch hemispheres without restarting your game. I tried looking for a workaround when I realized I wanted different seasonal events, but no luck. Starting over was worth it for me though!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
