How to Change to Survival Mode in Fallout Shelter
Bad news, folks - you can't flip a vault to survival mode after you've started it. Survival mode's gotta be chosen at vault creation. Kinda like choosing a difficulty level in other games; once you've started, you're locked in.

Actually, you're stuck with what you picked at the start. No mid-game switcheroo to survival mode, unfortunately. If you really want that hardcore survival experience, your best bet is to kick off a new vault and select survival mode from the moment you name your vault. It's a fresh start or nothing, sadly.
Sorry to burst the bubble, but once you've started your vault, there's no way to switch over to survival mode. You've gotta make the choice right at the beginning when you're creating a new vault. So if you're itching for a challenge, time to start fresh and choose survival mode from the get-go!
