Changing VTOL mode in GTA 5 is pretty straightforward if you're piloting the Hydra. Just press right on the D-pad if you're on console to switch between jet and hover modes. If you're on PC, just tap the 'E' key. This lets you toggle between going super fast or hovering in place for those tight landings or precise maneuvers.

Honestly, it took me a minute to figure this out, but it's super easy. I always forget controls and had to look it up. For consoles, the D-pad is your best friend for flying in style with the VTOL planes. Make sure you're clear of buildings first, though. Learnt that the hard way…
