You can't just 'change worlds' in State of Decay 2 like switching a channel. You have to start over with a new community, so gear up for a new adventure!
From my experience, creating a new community is the way to go! Head to the main menu, start a new community, and choose a different map. Good luck!
Just start a new community from the main menu. You can switch maps by selecting a different territory when prompted. Easy peasy!
