Okay, here's the quick version: Settings -> Settings & Privacy -> Contact Info -> Add new email -> Verify -> Done!
Been there, done that! Open Facebook, hit the three lines menu (or the down arrow if you're on desktop), go to Settings & Privacy, then Settings. Under 'Contact Info', add your new email, verify it (so check your inbox), and make it primary. Lastly, delete the old one if you want. Easy peasy!
