Taming that NAT Type on a PS5? Try putting your console in the DMZ through your router settings. It gives the PS5 priority access and usually switches NAT to Open. Boom, done.

Just switch to a different router and see if it helps. Sometimes the easiest fix is a new piece of hardware.

Go to your PS5 settings, select 'Network,' then 'Settings,' and finally 'View Connection Status' to see your NAT type. If your NAT type is restricting, you might need to enable UPnP on your router or set up port forwarding for specific PlayStation Network ports.

I struggled with this too! I contacted my ISP, and they helped me change my NAT type to Open. So, if all else fails, give your provider a call!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
