To change your PSN avatar, log into your account on your PS4 or PS5, go to Profile, select 'Edit Profile', then 'Avatar'. Choose from the available options, or set a custom image if you have PS4's companion app or USB drive.

IMHO, you can't change it to just ANYTHING. You gotta pick from their preset avatars unless you use a specific workaround like the PS app or USB.

I changed mine by using a USB drive. Upload a custom image to the drive, plug it into your PS4, and set it as your avatar through the profile settings. It worked like a charm!

Sign in on the PlayStation App, go to your profile, and select Edit Avatar. There, you can pick a new avatar or upload your own picture if available.
