Speaking from experience, you need the password to change your PSN email. If you forgot it, Sony's account recovery is your friend. Been there, done that!

Unfortunately, you can't change your PSN email without the password. The best bet is to try to recover your account through Sony's account recovery process if you've forgotten it. Good luck!
