Sorry, but you can't change your PSN name for free. Sony charges for this service. First-time changes are free, but after that, you'll have to pay $9.99 or $4.99 for PS Plus members.

I changed my PSN name once for free, but had to pay the next time. Just be prepared for some potential issues with older games.
