Super simple! Just hop onto your Xbox, go to ‘Profile & System’ > ‘My Profile’ > ‘Customize Profile’. Click on your current gamertag, and you'll see an option to ‘Choose Your New Gamertag’. Type in your new name and confirm. Remember, first change is free, but after that, there’s a small fee!

If you’re on a PC, you can change your Xbox username by going to the official Xbox website. Sign in, click on your profile in the top right, then ‘Xbox Profile’. Click on the pencil icon next to your gamertag to edit. Easy peasy!

Honestly, just make a new account if you don't want to pay the fee. It's a quicker fix if you don't have a lot of progress to lose.

Easiest way to change your username is via the Xbox app. Open the app, tap your profile pic, then select ‘Customize’. Click on your gamertag and you can change it from there. Done in minutes!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
