Charge up? Just get the Energy Charge skill and hold the button in battle, you're good to go.
You have to have a charge skill equipped. Go to the skill menu, equip something like 'Full Power Charge,' then press and hold the appropriate button during a fight.
You need to equip a charge skill first! Go to the skill shop, buy a charge ability, then assign it to a slot. Once equipped, activate the charge by holding the designated button in battle.
