The easiest way is to press the PS button and look at the control center. The battery icon is right there. Easy peasy!

Honestly, just keep it charged. PS5 controllers go down faster than you expect.

I usually hold down the PS button for a quick sec, and the battery level shows up at the bottom of the control center.
