If you archived the chat instead of deleting it, just go to the 'Archived Chats' section in Messenger. Fingers crossed you didn't hit delete!
I've been through this myself. Unfortunately, Facebook Messenger doesn't offer an option to retrieve deleted messages. I know it’s frustrating!
