If you're trying to figure out the edition, just flip the card over and squint real hard at the tiny symbols at the bottom. It's like a secret code from the Pokemon world. Get your magnifying glass ready!

It's actually pretty simple! Look at the bottom of the card. You'll typically find the edition symbol next to the card number. No symbol usually means it's from the base set. You can also check the date near this area for the year of release, which helps in identifying the edition.

Honestly, most of the time, the edition doesn't drastically change the value unless it's a first edition or a special promo. So, don't sweat it too much unless you're holding onto a holographic Charizard or something.

Edition symbols are for the elite who can actually spot them without googling every time. Good luck, you'll need it.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
