You can also use Steam's built-in FPS counter. Go to Steam settings > In-Game > Enable the FPS counter, and you're good to go!

Don't forget about third-party programs like MSI Afterburner! They have their own HUDs for FPS and other performance metrics. Definitely worth checking out.
