Oh, it's super easy to make sure you're not living in the past with your Animal Crossing game! Just boot up your Nintendo Switch, go to the Home screen, and hover over the Animal Crossing game icon. Then, press the '+' or '-' button on your controller to open up the options menu. Look for 'Software Update' and then select 'Via the Internet.' This will force your Switch to check for any updates and if there's one you missed, it'll start downloading it. Voila, you're all set to enjoy the latest fun on your island!

Actually, if you're playing regularly, you're probably already updated. The Switch is pretty good at keeping things current without needing to do much.

Just keep your Switch connected to the internet, and it should auto-update. Honestly, I never manually check for updates. If there's an update, it finds its way to me eventually!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
