Basically, you gotta find the Instinct Teacher. He's at the Coliseum. Talk to him while Instinct is active for your EXP.
From my experience, you need to have Instinct equipped and then chat with the Instinct Teacher at the Coliseum. He'll let you know your EXP.
Just talk to the Instinct Teacher at the Coliseum. Easy peasy.
