Nope, you can't see your current password on Steam, it's encrypted. If you're logged in and just want to change it, just go to your account settings. If you forgot it, you're gonna have to reset it.
You can't actually 'check' your Steam password directly for security reasons. If you've forgotten it, you'll need to reset it. Just go to the Steam login page, click on 'Forgot your password?' and follow the steps to reset it. They'll send a verification email to the email address linked to your Steam account.
Checking your Steam password isn't an option for a good reason: security. Always use the password reset option if you're stuck!
