Just flip the card over and peek at the bottom. No symbol? Congrats, you've bagged a first edition. Symbols vary, so have fun figuring out what each one means!

It's actually pretty easy! Just look at the bottom of your card. You'll usually find the edition symbol right there – it could be a little circle, star, or other shapes. If there's nothing there, it's probably a first edition! Also, don't forget to check the card number and compare it with online databases or the official Pokemon website to see what set it belongs to.

Honestly, most folks overthink this. If you're not planning to sell, just enjoy your cards! Who cares about the edition?

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
